I asked myself the question, what did my first kiss feel like? And I wanted to encapsulate that moment. Kissing someone for the first time is so exciting, electrical, almost magical. However, kissing the person you love is unmatchable. There’s an intimacy and connection that is fleeting yet everlasting... It transcends the passage of time.

The Muisca or Chibcha civilization populated the high mountains and valleys of the Andes in Colombia before the Spanish conquest. Interestingly, the Chibcha society was ruled by a matriarchy. They considered Bachué as the goddess generatriz of their people and culture. In her honor, I’d like you to be inspired today by the traditions and the moral values of many Indigenous people who have thrived to live in harmony with the earth. This piece focuses on a National story and in essence reflects on this contrast: Mother Earth versus colonization.
